

When I no longer need a category, I copy it and paste the Tasks page into a notebook name Archive. It's amazing because I can see everything I've done. Some categories include: Personal Growth, my masters program, a standarized test I have to take, grauating project, professional development, health, and others. Here I just check the task I completed, but never delete it. Tasks: I sort my tasks into different categories. One I complete the task, I check it and then delete it. If possible set a deadline for the tasks.

Tasks, Prioritzed: As of right now, I have 53 tasks prioritized. Note that I said objectives and not goals. This helps me keep focused on my priorities and on my objectives. Priorities, Short Run, Medium Run and Long Run Objectives. I use OneNote for everything but quick notes like for example storing passwords. Not just in OneNote, Windows key plus shift + left arrow will move the current window to the left monitor, Windows key plus shift + right arrow will move the current window to the right monitor. On my system I always make control 9 the checkbox tag which makes it easy to create a checklist item. You can assign the tags to Control key plus 1 through 9.


Tags have their problems, but a number of them work like check boxes so you can have multiple kinds of to-do lists by using multiple kinds of tags. You could also spend some time getting to know one notes tags. A top floating OneNote window is about as in your face as it gets!Īlt-Shift-D inserts the current date, Alt-Shift-T inserts the current time. I also have a couple of items on the quick access toolbar - one to capture an area of the screen (Windows key + shift + S does this at a system level, but I like onenote's feature better) and one to toggle keeping OneNote on top of other windows. It automatically gets filed under quick notes. Instantly brings up a blank note so you can just jot something down.
